About this 3D model

Scanned with the MakerBot Digitizer Desktop 3D Scanner I scanned this four times. the last time i painted the wooden structure with cheap white gouache. seems to have helped - but i think the cut off it actually the problem. i plan to saw the top section of and scan it separately - and join everything back up later.
