About this 3D model
These are ‘Pin Art’ inspired heart-shaped fidget toys. I designed two sizes: a Large Heart of Hearts and a Small Heart of Hearts. I would recommend starting with the small heart (which takes about an hour and a half) and then try the large heart. I found the small heart printed great on my A1 with all the ‘mini’ hearts sticking nicely during print and moving freely within the print afterwards. Just in case you print it and the ‘mini’ hearts are hard to move (or stuck/fused) - I also designed a second file for each size that has more tolerance (+.1mm tolerance). So in my print profile you will find: Plate #1: Small Heart of Hearts Plate #2: Small Heart of Hearts (+.1mm tolerance) Plate #3: Large Heart of Hearts Plate #4: Large Heart of Hearts (+.1mm tolerance) For the Large Heart I would recommend pre-treating the print bed with a glue stick (or hair spray) to ensure good adhesion - particularly for the ‘mini’ hearts inside the main heart. There are 51 ‘mini’ hearts and I found when I didn’t use a glue stick, some of my prints would have one or two mini hearts that would become loose before the print was done (which wasn’t catastrophic, just gave them a little rougher finish). Using a glue stick solved that problem for me:) 3D PRINTING SETTINGS Layer Height 0.2mm PLA works great 15-20% Infill No supports Dimensions of Large Heart: 3.75 in. x 3.5 in Dimensions of Small Heart: 2.5 in. x 2.25 in. These are a lot of fun to play with and I think make great little Valentine’s Day gifts ❤️ Have fun printing!
