Marga Gil Roësset was an spanish sculptor born in 1908 in Las Rozas, into a wealthy bohemian family. She grew up under the influence of a cultured and refined mother who encouraged her 4 children to experiment with the arts. She was a young woman with an extraordinary talent for plastic arts and poetry, a child prodigy who at the age of 24 was already beginning to be known as a sculptor and illustrator, nationally and internationally. In July 1932, after destroying almost all of her wonderful artwork, she decided to take her own life.
