About this 3D model

Available sizes Medium – 1:35 of the actual size | Normal, Hollow & Pre-supported versions Description Gobiatherium major was a large, rhinoceros-sized herbivorous mammal that lived during the Eocene epoch, around 40 million years ago, in what is now Mongolia and China. It belonged to the extinct family Gobiatheriidae and was characterized by a heavy, robust body, thick limbs, and a massive skull. Its most striking features were prominent bony swellings on the skull, which may have been used for display or intraspecific combat. Adapted for a terrestrial lifestyle, Gobiatherium likely browsed on tough vegetation in semi-arid environments, sharing its habitat with early perissodactyls and other primitive mammals.
