About this 3D model

Updated: Sept. 2024: Redesigned the parts of the model to reduce the amount of glue required and to simplify the assembly. Refined the print layout to avoid brims when printing. Updated the base of the bin to snap into place (glue may still be required) Re-modeled the side arms to improve he print quality Please note that the photos show the original side arms. It may not be the absolute smallest desktop dumpster, but it's the smallest I have designed and made available on MakerWorld. This is a smaller, single-lid version of my Desktop Dumpster model. It measures 115mm wide x 72mm deep and 95mm high (4.5" x 3" x 3.75"). It's so adorable. Go on - admit it. I have added a ‘badge’ to the front, which is an example ONLY. The model does not have the badge, and if you want one, head to Make My Sign in MakerLabs and create a rectangular sign that is 57.5mm x 26.5mm. Assembly instructions: Tear the small parts from the bin body to separate them. Then, use a knife or deburring tool to remove excess. Place each castor wishbone on a desk and squeeze a wheel between the spokes. They will fall into place easily. Work each wheel into the hole in the corners of the base. This is best done by twisting it back and forth, and it will work itself into the hole. Fit the base plate to the main body of the bin. It has four small tabs that should clip into place, but if required, add a couple of drops of superglue to hold it tight. Push the lid clips into place from the back of the bin. If necessary, use super glue. As always, please be sure to give some feedback on the print. A photo and a full set of stars would be nice.
