About this 3D model

Please keep all these small parts away from children and pets, some parts have pointy ends, and they could be a choking hazard too. Make or use these models at your own risk. This is not really a remix of HLMAX's Coraline Button Key ( https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:33499 ), but I did use it for inspiration. I wanted to be able to print it without needing to glue the halves together. Instead I wanted to have the parts fit together (and then I will glue them). I think the HLMAX version is more accurate, and this was a quick design so I made some compromises in accuracy. it may make for a simpler print though. This should be printable with minimal supports, see the pic. A brim will help with adhesion. I did not include a profile, so if you have issues, please try adding a brim in the slicer. A few notes about adhesion: You can use a smooth or textured plate, however a textured plate will help with adhesion. If you feel your smooth plate has good adhesion, please try it and post a comment on what plate you used and how it went. This model requires good adhesion to print properly. Some suggestions for promoting adhesion when printing this model are: Clean the build plate with dish soap (I use Dawn which seems to work very well for this). Textured PEI has generally better adhesion performance than any smooth plate, so try using a textured plate if you have issues. If you have an open frame printer (like the A1 or A1 mini), try to place your printer so it is not in a drafty area, or under or near an HVAC return, if possible. Temperature swings caused by drafts can case many issues, including adhesion problems. Use glue if your build plate supports it. Slow down the print speed. You can also add a brim or paint on " brim (mouse) ears ”, to assist with adhesion in the slicer. The post of the key will need to be glued into the handle. STEP file is included for easy remixing. If you find it is too tight to assemble, you can either sand it or scale it in the slicer, but I think the uploaded design should work fine.
