Rummikub (English: Rummikub), also known as Rummy Tiles or Magic Bridge , is a tabletop game for 2 to 4 players. It was invented by Ephraim Hertzano, a Romanian-born Jew, in the 1940s . There are also versions that support up to six players. The game is not only for social entertainment but is also often used by academia, communities, or businesses to hold intellectual competitions. It won the German Game of the Year (Spiel des Jahres) in 1980 [1] and the Dutch Game of the Year in 1983. In Taiwan , it is distributed by Gou Gou Enterprise. Due to the square tiles, the way the game is played, and the sound of shuffling the tiles, it is reminiscent of Mahjong, a common game in Chinese society. As a result, it is also known as Israeli Mahjong . Rummikub uses 104 numbered tiles and two joker tiles ( wild cards ) [2] . Players need to form groups of three or four tiles with the same number but different colors (groups), or three or more tiles with the same color and consecutive numbers (runs) to play. Joker tiles can replace any numbered tile, and players can also combine already played groups with tiles in their hand before playing. If a player cannot play, they must draw a tile. The first player to get rid of all their tiles wins.
