Having switched from the stock CR6-SE to the Creality MK8 the one thing I miss is the ability to unlatch the extruder from the filament for one handed feeding (useful when doing colour changes and purging). In order to overcome this I have created a simple chock that you clip over the gears once you have squeezed the release lever, this will lock the lever in the open position.
