The cage has parallelogram cross section beams making up an octahedron. The ball is built inside. Separate ball & octahedron files allow you to make it in two colors if your printer supports it. However, it may be possible to make the ball first, then make the octahedron, pausing the job as it gets taller than the ball and insert it before finishing the octahedron job.
