About this 3D model

Multi-part Bust of a Raptir Spider "Elf", shedding its usual mimicry and opening its mandibles to display its mouth. Once a proud, Galaxy spanning race that conquered the stars, the Raptir are now raiders and scavengers. Arrogant and by their nature ungovernable, only a few times in Raptir history have they been united under a single ruler. They have never recovered from the fall of the Great Tyranny and their subsequent return to selfish cannibalism. Each Raptir is supremely arrogant and hatches with an urge towards either solitude or domination of others, but no Raptir will submit to domination themselves. They tend towards small, scattered groups of kin or lone individuals, though some Raptir cities and worlds exist, the largest of which claim political lineage back to the Tyranny itself. Obligate carnivores and cannibals, the Raptir prey on other species and delight in collecting vast populations of sentients to control. Humans and their cousins are a particular favourite of the Raptir because of the young race’s vulnerability to hierarchies, not to mention how soft and delicious they are without having to season or prepare them. Either by nature or by genetic engineering in some lost age, the Raptir gradually metamorphose to match their favourite prey, usually hiding their deadly venomous mouthparts behind an attractive façade. Not only their forms are changed, though the proud Raptir would never admit it they have begun to adopt some of the cultural practices of Humanity as well, gaining a taste for self-adornment and decoration that older Raptir despise. There is now Raptir music, played on bizarre silk instruments, it is by all accounts awful and any human who professes to enjoy it is likely trying to be provocative. In all of Sektor Volatile there is nobody you would less like to be captured by than a Raptir Webship, which is really saying something due to the competition. Comes with supported and unsupported parts. Supported parts are hollowed. Default scale 80mm tall.
