About this 3D model

✨ News : A new removable silica beads container is now available, compatible with all Manu Ziloop rolling dry box models. It lets you refill or replace the desiccant by simply lifting the container out—no need to remove the entire base. https://makerworld.com/en/models/2333245-removable-desiccant-container-rolling-dry-boxes#profileId-2549417 For users with SKROAM-style boxes (WILDONE, PRAKI), a separate “perfect fit” model is now available: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2217613-skroam-wildone-praki-cereal-dry-box-hygrometer#profileId-2411343 In case you need a model for narrow spools (for example, 500 g spools), take a look at the following link: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2203421-cereal-box-dry-box-desiccants-for-narrow-spools#profileId-2394245 The model described below works with most cereal box containers sold on Amazon. It has been thoroughly tested and performs reliably across a wide range of boxes, though some minor variations in fit may occur depending on the brand. The goal of this model, in conjunction with "cereal boxes," is to store filament spools in an airtight environment to prevent moisture absorption. The rollers are very useful if you want to print with the spool inside the airtight box. I recently redesigned new rollers with better grip, and I recommend you give them a try (they’re my favorites): https://makerworld.com/en/models/869862#profileId-821645 Use a 4mm hexagonal , allen wrench to screw the rollers. Tip: To allow the rollers to spin freely, tighten the screw all the way in (but not too tight, as it’s plastic, not metal), then slightly loosen it (about a quarter turn) until the roller turns smoothly without resistance. In case you are using the bearings , be careful to place the washer as shown in one of the photos. This model can be used with 3D-printed rollers or with 608-type bearings, which you can easily find on Amazon, AliExpress, or Bambulab Maker’s Supply. Allows direct printing from the filament inside the box, with rollers recommended for smoother operation. Holds silica gel beads to dehydrate the filament. Supports a hygrometer to monitor humidity levels and determine when to replace the silica gel. This model is suitable for most spools; you just need to ensure the width is between 48mm and 70 mm (let’s say 69 mm to be on the safe side). Regarding the amount of silica, you can use about 170 cm³. Personally, I use much less, it lasts about a month before I need to replace it (I regenerate it in the oven). I have sized it so that it can be also printed from the small BambuLab Mini. Printing Recommendations: No special requirements, except for the screws, where I used 3 "walls." Simply use the the print profile. If you need to print directly from a dry box, have a look to my design for PTFE connector: https://makerworld.com/en/models/205339#profileId-225523 or this one: https://makerworld.com/en/models/525109#profileId-441949 Regarding the rectangular hygrometer, I bought it on AliExpress but should be able to find it also on Bambu Lab Maker's Supply or amazon: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003075779370.html I bought the cereal boxes on Amazon: https://www.amazon.fr/Wildone-conservation-hermétiques-céréales-aliments/dp/B07L2QJ5LB/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=Wildone%2B–%2BEnsemble%2Bde%2B6%2Brécipients%2Bhermétiques&qid=1708091397&sr=8-4&th=1 The model was designed in such a way as to be able to accommodate silica gel. I bought a 2kg pot of silica gel on Amazon: https://www.amazon.fr/Trustleaf-Pot-déshydratant-silice-blanc/dp/B08X16GCVV/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=trustleaf%2Bpot%2Bde%2B2kg%2Bde%2Bdéshydratant%2Ben%2Bgel&qid=1708091636&sr=8-1&th=1 Boost Me Boost Me ! Hit the Boost button ? it's free and helps me keep designing stuff for the Bambu community. A note on print quality: I test all my models before uploading. If your print doesn't turn out well, check your filament (old? wet?) and printer calibration first. Most issues come from these, not the model.
