About this 3D model

This is a parametric OpenSCAD script to generate a heating collar for camera lenses and telescopes. It consists of three parts connected with hinges. The individual parts contain gaps in which heating wire is inserted. At the hinges, additional holes are present to clamp down the heating wire retention loops to keep the hinges movable. Feel free to change the parameters however you need. The parameters allow for changes in size and geometric properties resulting in the heating wire resistance. Make sure your electrical considerations make sense and are safe! Use this script at your own risk!
