Features: Universal Fit: Designed to fit snugly on standard classic beer cans 355 mL/12.00 fl oz 375 mL/12.68 fl oz 440 mL/14.88 fl oz 500 mL/16.91 fl oz Functional Hinged Lid: The two-part design features a working hinge mechanism for an authentic beer stein feel. Printing & Assembly Recommendations: Supports: Supports will be necessary, particularly for the hinge mechanism on the lid and any significant overhangs. Assembly Note: Hinge Hardware Required Please note that the pin required to connect the lid to the base is not a printable part and is not included with your digital download. You will need to source this small piece of hardware separately to complete the assembly. The bolt I have used is an M3 x 20mm with matching lock nut. Before printing the full lid, we recommend running a quick test print of just the lower 10–20 mm of the collar section. This allows you to check the fit on your beer can and make any needed adjustments. Factors like printer calibration, extrusion settings, filament type, and material shrinkage can all slightly affect the final size—especially on FDM printers. After printing, lightly sanding the inside of the collar is advised to remove any minor over-extrusion or “elephant’s foot” from the first layers. This ensures a smooth, snug fit on the can without forcing or deforming the part. Finishing: The prototype shown in the video was printed and then painted silver to achieve a stunning metallic look.
