About this 3D model

During the crusades to Eastern Europe the crusaders often had to establish a base of operations, which they could use as stronghold and defend untill they had time to build a more permanent stone castle. For this purpose they often did build a tempoary fortress from dirt and wood. This model represents such a castle, but could also be used to represent one of the smaller native fortifications.
