The Second French Intervention in Mexico, also called the Mexican Adventure or the Second Franco-Mexican War, saw the French Empire of Napoleon III to force Mexican debts to be paid, as well as aid Mexican Conservatives in establishing a Monarchy in the country. On 30th April 1863, 65 men of the French Foreign legion was surrounded by over 2000 enemy fighters, and committed to a last stand at the Hacienda Camarón. This set depicts Foreign legion troops for that engagment, however it is also useful for legionaries during the remainder of the war. Sculptor: Thai Ngo
