About this 3D model

Description A servo controlled filament extruder to be able to feed filament during shorter periods of time for an upcoming project. For an upcoming project I needed a way of extruding a bit of filament and then releasing it to be able to pass freely. A servo pushes the filament against the extruder wheel and then releases it again when enough filament has passed. Mount the servo to the base with the two spacers in between, make sure you put the groove in the right direction so it fits nicely onto the servo. Fasten with four 14 mm screws and lock nuts. Insert the square nuts into the nozzle holders, make sure you push them all the way down. Mount the nozzle holders to the base using two 10 mm screws. Insert the PC4-M10 into the nozzle holders. Prepare the servo arm by making one of the end holes bigger, 3.2 mm so there is enough room for the screw to pass. Use a file to flatten the other end of the arm to make enough room for the other screw to pass. Insert two hex nuts and secure them with a piece of tape so they don’t fall out while mounting it to the servo. Secure the servo arm with the screw that came with the servo. Fit the bearing on to the bearing holder and put the end piece on top. Put the bearing holder in place and secure it with one 18 mm screw in the end going thru the bearing and one 8 mm screw in the other end. Remove the two pieces of tape and you are done. I also included a .step file so you can make your own modifications with ease.
