The brothers, even before the end of the world, were not noted for their love of honest labor. They earned money by dismantling stolen cars, sometimes by robbery. Guns were always the main argument of these guys. When the scoundrels found out that the world was ending, they lost even the illusion of any moral constraints. The killers simply became what they had been all their lives.
