The New Fourth Army Reconstruction Military Headquarters Memorial Tower is located in the center of the roundabout at Jianjun Square in Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province (the intersection of Jianjun Road and Jiefang Road). It is the most prominent urban landmark and spiritual symbol of Yancheng, commonly known as "Big Bronze Horse." A young and valiant New Fourth Army soldier, carrying a saber on his back and holding reins in his hand, rides on the back of a war horse with its front hooves raised high, facing the rising sun and looking eastward.
