A small bird like creature it wades through the shallows looking for fish. Staying near reeds and foliage for cover aswell as camoflague. There it stands motionless waiting for the fish to come near. Once in striking distance it launches its spear like tongue out to impale the fish. Small barbs on either side prevent the slippery fish from escaping. The Speartongue Shoebill reels in the catch and swallows the fish whole.
