Here is the solution for this niche problem. Simply print the form and pour your silicone in.* Afterwards you get a stable pouring mold with a thin ring to keep the resin in place. Your model is build in a way that even that ring is in the way? Just cut away a little bit of it so it fits, and seal the area with pva.** This set includes molds for 25mm, 28.5mm***, 32mm, 40mm, 50mm, 60mm, 80mm, and 100mm round bases. *You need to be sure that the resin is fully cured in all places the silicone will touch and that there is no residue. I recommend wiping an alcohol cleaning wipe through the indention for the ring and erring on the side of overcuring. The model is deigned to be very stable. The 80mm and 100mm model has to be printed four times and glued together. I left a small gap between the connections points, to account for material expension and slight errors. Please make sure this gap is sealed before pouring silicone into the mold. **Make sure the paintjob is protected with a good varnish before doing this. ***A certain company claims their bases are 28.5mm. Other places say the bases are 28mm. When I measure them, they were 28.1mm. In any case, this will work fine for either case.
