About this 3D model

The Chōchin-obake originates from Japanese folklore and belongs to the Yōkai group, the so-called Tsukumogami. These are artifact spirits, various animated everyday objects that become spirits and come to life. Chōchin-obake have an ambivalent character. Depending on how they have been treated in their 100 years of life, they are either good and remain loyal to their master or abandon their master and frighten unsuspecting wanderers. Chōchin-obake are Chōchin lanterns that are attached to the top of a long bamboo stick. They have one eye, sometimes 2. They also have a nose and a large mouth on whose long tongue they carry a candle. Some even have a foot on which they move by hopping.
