About this 3D model
I’m so excited to share the latest update of my velociraptor model with you all! This design was recently requested by two of our community members, and I got straight to work on it. Throughout the process—from concept to modeling and finally printing—I’ve developed a real affection for these dinosaurs! The model prints directly without any additional supports; only the head includes a small built-in support, so you won’t need to add anything extra. Just load it into your slicer as-is. I’ve tested it on two different printers, and the results have been fantastic. To assemble the parts it is necessary to clean any thread or dirt generated by the printing, then you can insert the pieces very carefully by pressing and turning (it is important to introduce it by turning, this will allow you to clean the joints and it will fit more easily) the same time until the piece finally fits into position, once the piece fits it will be very difficult to disassemble the model, except for the arms, which can be removed. IMPORTANT Make sure to remove the little supports, located over the spheres before assembly. I recommend not scaling the model down below 90% to maintain the ideal print quality. The size is perfect for detailed prints, and by following these suggestions, you should achieve the same high-quality results as in the photos. To release the jaw, gently lever between the front tooth opening, and the jaw will open. Designing this model has been incredibly rewarding, and seeing my own test prints come to life has been the cherry on top! If you have any questions or comments, don’t hesitate to reach out—I’m always here to help. Happy printing, and thank you so much for your amazing support. Enjoy bringing this raptor to life!
