This spur (or holder) is a simple piece—often printed with PLA—that attaches to the plotter head and houses a small laser unit. Its function is to emit a clear red light point that helps you determine the starting point of the cut or manually align registration marks. Since some machines, like the Jinka 720, don't have a built-in laser or camera, this solution compensates practically and inexpensively. Instead of relying solely on estimation, you can see the red dot and align the paper or design with greater precision, especially when cutting printed stickers. How does it work? Attach the spur to the plotter head. Mount the laser so that it is pointed at the same point as the blade (or very close to it). Turn on the laser and begin aligning the marks on the paper. Then, the plotter cuts along the path you've marked.
