The success of the I-51 Barracuda prompted the GDF to take the idea of rocket bikes a bit more seriously, and a requisition for a GDF specialized variant was put in shortly after its introduction. The M-52 Thunderbike’s design is heavily based off of the Barracuda, but is more compact and angular in appearance. Performance wise, the M-52 is substantially more rugged than the I-51, being fully environmentally hardened as well as having slightly thicker armor.
