A highly detailed model of the Soviet Object 782 120 fire support vehicle. During the late 80s, the Soviet ministry of defence experimented in the so-called tank support vehicles. Unlike the churchill tanks wose role is to support infantry, these vehicles exist to support tanks. Yes, even tanks need fire support. This project gave birth to many Soviet and early russian vehicles which would eventually culminated in the BMPT vehicles. The BMPT vehicles and it's predeccessors are made to give tanks ample anti-personel and fortification support in dense urban terrain or in any other kinds of terrain where tanks become vulnerable. This particular version of the Object 782 carries the 120mm gun, heavy MGs, and missile launchers to blast distant opponents. The chassis is also elongated to acomodate several personel on the back. These mounted troops have 2 heavy MGs on each side of the tank for added firepower. A very unique vehicle indeed.
