Ever had those cheap'n'nasty 40mm Chinese-made/Bushnell/Barska Red dot sights, that looks non-tacticool and impractical? Now you can recycle these old red dots onto the G36 platform, and still look the part. Best of all, it functions better than the stock G36 red dot. Fits on G36 AEGs and WE G36 GBBR. With the WE it will require some slight filing down of the attachment rail at the top by around 2mm, else the scope will not align with the holes. Installation: Remove the rail mountings on the cheap red dot. On the red dot, enlarge the rear mounting hole with a 4mm drill bit, then to 4.2mm, to 4.5mm to 5mm, enlarging the hole upwards as you go so it still retains the hole's integrity to be able to hold the red dot in place. Fit the carrying handle onto the G36. Secure the front screw and the middle screw. Insert the red dot into the carry handle front first, and then the rear of the red dot will follow (it will be tight). Line the rear hole of the carry handle with the rear hole of the red dot, secure and tighten the rear screw. ...And you're done! *Update: I've modified the file for a better ease of installation, plus a custom kill flash that sits into the scope rail to protect the 40mm lens.
