The project uses 5mm magnetic neodymium balls to be bought separately. You need to place one on each side of a tile and insert them into specially prepared cavities with force. Once inside, the magnets rotate freely to connect with any other piece, so you don't have to worry about polarity. Alternatively you can use 3D printed links to connect the floor tiles. 3 sizes.
