We’ve spent a lot of time testing the antlers from the recent release—trying just about every combination you can think of. Normal supports, tree supports (normal, strong, and organic), rafts, brims of all sizes, Z hop on and off… you name it. Here’s what we’ve learned: success mostly comes down to bed adhesion and filament quality. Every time I used high-quality filament, the antlers printed without issue. But when I tried cheaper options like Elegoo’s $13 Rapid Basic PLA, they consistently failed. The best performer? Sparkle filament—possibly because the sparkles improve grip, or because it prints hotter and slower. If you’re running into problems, try this: •Wipe down your build plate with isopropyl alcohol before printing. •Occasionally scrub your build plate with soap and water—I just did this and saw major improvement. •And if all else fails, a light layer of glue stick (like Bambu Lab’s) can be the extra boost your prints need.
