About the Cardinal:The Northern Cardinal is one of the most iconic birds in North America, recognized by its brilliant red plumage and sharp crest. Males shine in fiery red, while females have warm, subtle brown tones with hints of red. Their melodic whistles make them easy to spot — even before you see them. Cardinals are often seen as symbols of hope and cheer, and they play an important role in seed dispersal in their natural habitats. About the Design:This is a print-in-place, no-supports-needed, fully flexible model — so you can print it effortlessly, with no extra hassle.Designing this model was a joy, and I’m sure you’ll have just as much fun printing it! Important Printing Instructions: Ensure good adhesion for the wings. You can scale down to 60% safely — just don’t go smaller than that. If printing at smaller scales, use a brim or raft for the wings and head. Use non-brittle filament to avoid breaking delicate parts like the wings. When inserting the wings into the body, be gentle but firm — they are designed to snap into place securely. If the head feels too tight, scale it up by 1–2%. If the wings feel too tight, scale the wings down by 1–2% for a looser fit. Please follow these guidelines carefully for the best results! You can scale this design to as small as 60% scale. Do not print it smaller than this scale. For printing at a smaller scale, make use of a brim or raft while printing the wings and head. Be cautious that the filament you're using is not brittle, as the wings could break. While attaching the wings to the body after printing, do it carefully. If you feel the head is too tight, you can increase its size by 1 or 2%. If you prefer the wings to be a bit looser, you can decrease the wing scale by 1 or 2%, allowing them to fit more loosely. When inserting the wings into the body, they might seem a bit tight, but they will fit properly into the sockets. Apply a little force to insert the wings into the head socket securely.
