Tiny prints need a tiny egg. Look no further than the Tiny Dragon Scale Egg! Each tiny egg is sized to be roughly the size of a duck egg and uses only 21 grams of filament, making them the perfect item to create little combo packs and tiny mystery eggs! The Tiny Gemstone Egg is the first model to feature a new twist lock mechanism that make the eggs stronger, easier to open, and more resistant to warping in the summer sun! They also have greatly improved bed adhesion. The new twist lock design provides greatly improved bed adhesion, but some filaments with particularly poor bed adhesion may benefit from a small internal brim. I generally avoid external brims to keep the outer surface as smooth as possible. I run my printers much slower than the standard settings. This helps make the eggs nice and shiny, smooth, stronger, and reduces the risk of them getting knocked off of the build plate. This new design requires a high level of precision in order to maintain the intended fitment. Should you experience tightness with the open and closing, then you may want to calibrate the flow rate and/or extrusion multiplier to make sure that you are printing the eggs in the proper dimensions. Running your printer at excessively high speeds will also have a negative impact on dimensional accuracy. Enjoy! Michael
