However, with a mutation where one amino acid is changed, it will start to polymerize. This polymerization forces cells to 'sickle.' With this file, you can print a pair of hemoglobin molecules with this mutation. Look for the deoxy and oxy forms of hemoglobin to complete the set. This model was created from the 2HBS PDB protein.
