About this 3D model

This model provides a physical demonstration of the focal point of a parabola using a 3D printer and is part of the Learning in a Makerspace chapter of my new book "[The Makerspace Workbench](http://shop.oreilly.com/product/0636920028147.do)" from Maker Media!. Simply line the surface with aluminum foil and pass a 1/8" dowel through the center. Aim the parabola at a light source and record the focal point on the dowel. Enjoy!
