About this 3D model

In a recent project I needed to mount an electronic circuit vertically, due to size and connectivity requirements. This is the mounting bracket I made for the job. The circuit in question was assembled on prototyping board (or Veroboard as we called it in England), which is a 2inch wide with predrilled mounting holes in the four corners. This bracket has two guide channels, left and right, into which the proto-board slides. The proto-board will then latch into bumps at the base of the bracket, to provide stability, without the need for screws/bolts through the proto-board. The mounting holes in the proto-board provide the interlock for the latch. The latches in the bracket align with mounting holes in the proto-board. Hole spacing may be specific to the brand of board. You may need to edit the scad file to make minor adjustments for this. I design the bracket for use with proto-board bought from Jameco: Manufacturer: GC Electronics Manuf. part no: 22-508 Jameco part no: 616649 One additional design feature is that the mount does not obstruct access to any of the tracks or power buses on the proto-board. I did not want the mount interfering with placement of any of the components in my circuits design.
