About this 3D model
i designed this pan tilt head in the course of my bachelor thesis for media-informatics at Vienna University of TechnologyThe goal was to get highest angular precision for long-term timelapse photography. The device achieves a accuracy of 0.092° for tilt and 0.101° for the pan aixs. It is IP44 designed and should resist strong weather conditions if sealed accordingly. video showing the development process: https://vimeo.com/93193071 The pan tilt head is driven by 5V stepper motors and controlled with a python program running on a raspberry Pi, the Websoftware used in the video is the work of David Lung and can be found here: https://bitbucket.org/lung/imscamThe payload for 5V Stepper motors is max 330g (10cm axial distance).
