About this 3D model

This weeks 3D prophecy item is a ring. During the 3D Scanning of this item we ran into some issues with the shiny metal. In the end, we did get a decent scan and created a 3D model of the ring but laid out flat. Jewelry making is a perfect use of modern digital fabrication technology. We printed our ring on a Form 2 3D printer (https://www.formlabs.com) that uses castable resin. From there, we casted the 3D print traditionally. This season we wanted to focus more on the finishing techniques so we had @dominateallaspectsjewelry (https://www.instagram.com/dominateallaspectsjewelry/) hand form the ring from a flat piece of metal into a ring.
