About this 3D model

This is a remix of a remix of a remix, but I don't think we can ever get enough Yoda. I added a keychain/charm loop and scaled him down quite a bit. The purpose was for an experiment in investment casting. At this scale, with a FDM process, there is a thin spot in the ears that just ends up being empty space. We repaired that with a little wax. All parts were printed in ABS (rather than PLA which is more commonly used for investment casting). Some were vapor polished, and some were left as-printed. A handful were then investment cast in silicon bronze. More information and a video of the process is up on our blog at printedsolid.com
