About this 3D model

This head can be identified by the similar features of that of the Aphrodite of Knidos by Praxiteles in the middle of the fourth century BC. The full face is in the shape of a perfect oval, softened by two bands of wavy locks forming a low bun and helf there by a double ribbon. The head gazes to the left, a pose newly established by Praxiteles to establish a sense of distance with the terrestrial world to the deities in human form. THe face of the original was probably painted with the rest of the body by Nicias upon creation. This object is part of "Scan The World".
