About this 3D model

A minimalist design of one of nature's incredible animals - the humpback whale. I originally envisioned the whale to be used as a lampshade for my sons room, whereby it would have a marine or underwater theme. Other marine animals to follow would be sharks, turtles, jellyfish, etc. If it is to be used as a lampshade, it should be printed in a relatively clear material for better light transmission. Additionally, it might not be suitable for use with incandescent lamps or similarly hot bulbs unless you print it with a material that has a high glass transition rating. This model is in 4 parts as the printer I am using has a relatively small bed. With larger printers, you should be able to get away with printing it in halves instead of quarters. No support should be needed for the fins.
