This character, carrying a skin full of beer or wine, once participated in a procession of servants sculpted on the walls of the monumental staircase of a palace of Persepolis . The sumptuous palace decor illustrated all the splendor of the vast Achaemenid Persian Empireand exalted the power of the Great Kings. Responsible for food and drinks, the servants were heading to the royal table at the banquet of the great New Year party . It carries further wears the traditional felt hat ( bashlyk ) which exceed a few strands curled on the forehead. The arch of the eyebrow, the eye almonds, hooked nose and thin lips animate the face, but the impassive expression, common to all the characters, reflects the solemnity of the ceremony.
