About this 3D model

The eponymous mist comes from Vernal and Nevada Falls, two of Yosemite's most spectacular water falls. I made it from a LIDAR dataset available on http://opentopo.sdsc.edu/. The data was collected as part of a study of rockfall in Yosemite. You can see my tutorial video at
