I recently acquired a Genius, and I was not a fan of the spool support. I use a model for my other printers that I adapt to the printers and that I find very good, useful, resistant and functional. With the Genius' plastic mount, we find very little or no different spool mount adaptation that would fit on the Genius. This is understandable because the plastic support, in the absence of the aluminum profile (like most printers), allows very few modifications. So I adapted a spool holder that uses the original holes (because I didn't want to make any holes in the plastic). I was confronted with a problem, the offset of the support is done on the back, and since there is no fixing on the front part of the support, this one tended to move a lot and seemed fragile. To solve this problem, I offset the center of gravity on the front of the support so that the weight of the coil is sufficient in itself to ensure good stability (if you look closely, this is the case with the support provided originally elsewhere) and after hours of printing test, it's impeccable! The support goes a little in force in the holes, it is normal and expected. I made sure that it is perfectly centered on the plastic arm. Here, I share this, because it can help some maybe, who like me are not fans of the original support. For printing, I am on 0.2 for the nozzle, 2 perimeters, infill at 20% minimum, in my case in PETG, the PLA will also do perfectly well in my opinion.
