About this 3D model
Etruscan art had a great interest in fantastical creatures: one of the most famous pieces of Etruscan sculpture is the Chimera of Arezzo, resembling a lion. Here it may be a Sphinx. Indeed, even though the Sphinx – a mythological creature with the head of a woman, the body of a lion and the wings of an eagle – belongs to Greek culture, the Etruscans were greatly influenced by Greek religion and mythology.
