About this 3D model
The relief depicts the deceased as a female figure, yet the inscription bears the name of a male: "Poseidippos' son, Dionysos". The representation of a farewell scene is a very recurrent subject on Hellenisitic tombstones. It focuses on a more emotional manner, appealing to pathos, rather than focusing on the life of the deceased as it may be observed on other tombstone reliefs.
