About this 3D model
The inscription reads: "Asinnius Ingenus, his wife, Areskusa, his son, Theodorus". On this relief, we may observe that the characters are participating to a symposium. The Greek symposium was a male aristocratic social gathering where men drank together, conversed and enjoyed themselves. Perhaps it is this inherently liveliy aspect that makes it such a recurrent theme on Hellenistic gravestones - Hellenistic funeral art focuses on the life of the deceased.
