About this 3D model
This portrait, executed by profile and in relief, is a very good illustration of the stiacciato technique, which was particularly developped during the Renaissance by artists such as Donatello. Here, Da Fiesole worked with great refinement on the subject's hair and dress. Stiacciato consists of moderating the depth of the sculpting in order to give perspective de the bas-relief. Therefore, the young lady's shoulder goes further out than her head.
