About this 3D model

This is a lumbar vertebra from a deer that was scanned in the Virtual Curation Laboratory with a NextEngine Desktop 3D scanner. This vertebra was on loan from the Fort Lee Regional Archaeological Curation Facility (RACF) to aid in the development of a digital zooarchaeological type collection, and for replication to be used in research, outreach, and teaching. Note that the scanning software closed the vertebral foramen and it will need to be opened through digital editing.
