About this 3D model

Hi! Thanks for taking a look at my submission to #TinkercadEaster, I hope you like it. I thought that it would be fun to put something with a little more potential for creativity and imagination inside the egg - an easy to print, easy to assemble set of 10mm magnetic building blocks! A friction fit egg is included as well - just scale it to fit the number of blocks that you want to fit inside :), or even use one of the other funky egg designs available on MyMiniFactory! The set consists of the cylinder, triangular wedge and cube, all designed to fit together. The magnets on the wedges stand slightly proud to allow articulation at joints, keeping fingers busy building any number of structures. The blocks use 3mm neodynium cube magnets meaning that they will stick to the fridge door or even hang upside down from any magnetic metal base (max 6 per block, 2 per cylinder and 2 per wedge). The magnets are readily available from Amazon or Ebay and very cheap (though not suitable for very small children or adults liable to eat their toys!). Assembly should just require firmly pressing the magnets into the printed blocks, though as actual sizes will vary from printer to printer, a dab of glue may be required to hold them in place. For the wedge and cylinder blocks the magnets obviously tend to matching orientations making sorting the polarities very simple. Assembly of the cube magnet is similarly easy for a pair of magnets, but can get tricky if you want to magnetise all 6 faces. Fortunately there are some really good instructional videos out there if you want to learn a bit about magnets in the process! Have fun and happy building.
