About this 3D model
I've been wanting to do this one for a while, but I wanted to have some experience with articulated characters before going for it (especially since it’s one of my all-time favorite characters from Star Wars). Now I finally feel more comfortable making articulated figures, so I figured it was time to take a stab at it. I knew I wanted to make something memorable and different, so I didn’t want Grievous and the wheel bike to feel like separate pieces, but rather a single build. From the start, I envisioned this as a mix of character and vehicle, similar to what I did with the B1 droid and the STAP. So here it is, and I hope people like the result. Both Grievous and the wheel bike are at a 1:10 scale. I think it can be printed smaller, down to about 85%, for smaller printers without breaking the tolerance threshold. The bike has articulated legs, and the wheel itself actually spins. Grievous is also fully articulated, stands on its own, and comes with interchangeable arms. You can use the default two-arm setup or attach the four-arm mode. It was a lot of work, but I think it was worth it. Happy printing!
