Lightbulbs are the perfect medium for a variety of upcycling projects. Terrarium, vase, pencil holder; whatever you choose to make, this stand will cradle it with square-edged perfection. Mine is a standard lightbulb with native species. I built up drainage with gravel and carbon, then added soil. Then went in found moss, isopods, springtails and a couple decorations provided by mother nature. It's a 1-hour project that's easy and fun to do with kids and makes for a great windowsill display. This tutorial will walk you through the process of disassembling your bulb.
