About this 3D model
An actually working Y splitter for Bambulab printers to be used to allow AMS and manual feeding without PTFE tubes switching NOTICE: Must follow instructions: This should be printed in 0.1 layer height !! Connect as follows: A - AMS | M - Manual feed | P - to printer Print with flat surface on print bed Push the PTFE all the way in - it should be fitted into print Print - run a filament through each entry making sure no leftovers from the printer. Make sure the PTFE connecting the splitter to the printer is cut straight After trying many Y splitters which failed, I reached the conclusion the Y splitter (actually joiner) should be designed differently: AMS feed should be flawless and therefore prioritized (nobody cares about manual success rate) there shouldn't be a “joined tube” print - either a round feeder, or printer friendly “chamber” the design should take 3d printers characteristics in mind - print direction should be aligned with flow direction, no changes in printed tubes connect easily with existing PTFE tubes taking all this in mind I designed an externally flat print, with “join chamber” instead of joining tubes. this one is compatible with standard PTFE (4mm) and 10 mm fitting connectors
